Taproom Events

A big congratulations to Double-Barrelled owners Mike and Luci on the birth of baby Ralph. Guys, if you aren’t following up Keith on Banjo with Ralph on Rattle, I’ll be really disappointed

At the taproom, old favourite Repetitive Beats, a 6.2% IPA is back, and you can still catch bank holiday beer Three Day Vacation, a 5% margarita gose. Book a table here if you want to be sure of a seat.

Sunday: 1 pm -9 pm Food by Wingz ‘n’ Tingz and live jazz with the Ewan Baird quartet from 5 pm.

Thursday 5 pm – 10 pm: May the 4th be with you – it’s a Star Wars quiz from 7 pm. Plus loaded fried by Dirty Snax again

Elusive Taproom

To celebrate the 7th anniversary of their first brew, Elusive have brewed Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Morrisman., an 11% barrel-aged imperial chocolate stout. Book a seat at the taproom if you are going along to try it by calling 0118 9732153 or emailing beer@elusivebrewing.com.

You can book at table here if you want to be sure of getting a seat, but in general it’s not needed. There’s construction going on for a permanent kitchen in conjunction with Proper Takeout, and until then there’s other street food available at the weekends too.

Siren have a big bank holiday weekend of fun planned, with a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids, live music, a steam engine fair, and beer and gin for the adults . If you want to book a table, contact them here.

Cheese Feast

I couldn’t skip the one event everyone is talking about – Cheese Feast. Grumpy Goat and Blue Collar bring you three days of craft beer, cheese and music, including an Abba tribute, Barrioke with Barry from Eastenders, and a Eurovision covers band.

Loddon Beer and Beard Festival

Visit the Opies Beard and Moustache Championship at Loddon on the 20th May. Tickets are £6.50 with all profits going to local charity Daisy’s Dream.

Park House Local Drinks Festival

The University are running a festival celebrating local wine, beer, cider, and gin producers. Come along and meet the people behind the drinks and have some food too. Tickets here.

Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival

Bracknell Ale & Cider festival is back again on the 28th May at Bracknell Rugby Club. Tickets at bracknellalefestival.co.uk.

Twyford Beer Festival

Twyford Beer Festival has been the go-to beer festival in past years with the sad absence of the Reading Beer Festival. It’s sure to be popular again this year, so get your tickets for 8th to 10th June here.
